STARTING WITH OCTOBER 17, 2016, THE UNESCO CHAIR IN BIOETHICS – CLUJ UNIT HAS BEEN CLOSED DOWN.
The Romanian Unit was established in 2013 at the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences, Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj. It is a member of the International Network of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics. The network has been established in 2001 by The International Center of Health, Law and Ethics, Haifa University and is currently directed by Prof. Ammon Carmi.
The Romanian Unit is directed by Prof. Sandu Frunză, Department of Communication, PR and Advertising, Babes-Bolyai University. He is assisted by the Executive Committee and helped by the Executive Director, Prof. Antonio Sandu, University of Suceava „Stefan cel Mare”.

The Romanian Unit will contribute at the developing of teaching and research programs in bioethics, biopolitics and communication.
